With the renovation of the listed monument school building and the surrounding green areas on the corner of Margit körút and Rómer Flóris utca, Codic Hungary completed the rehabilitation on one of Buda's most frequented properties.
HomeWork is a unique “boutique” development where 3,600 sqm premium offices
Using what you already have is not just sustainable but also an effective way to create harmony between the past and the present. Keeping in mind the monumental significance of the school building, Codic preserved its historical value and transforms it to meet today’s needs and to accommodate the new urban lifestyle.
The high windows of the existing façade blend with the large glass surfaces of the new extension, giving the interiors plenty of natural light. The project achieves a balance between the historic character of the school building and the modern design of the newly developed extension wing, creating a unique and inspiring work environment. The monumental staircase of the former school has been preserved as an exclusive feature for the office tenants.
A single-story underground garage now accommodates several bicycle storage areas and 33 car parking spaces dedicated to the offices, with an additional five surface parking spaces available on the adjacent plot for our tenants. Separate staircases and elevator blocks ensure convenient access to offices and apartments from the garage, while distinct entrances for employees and residents enhance the functionality of the ground floor.
Reflecting the developer's commitment to sustainable development, the project includes private terraces, expansive community green areas, and a new, larger park with a tranquil inner garden, all of which enhance the surrounding environment. The extensive green roof covering the entire building improves air quality and adds aesthetic value for the neighbourhood.
